Dr. Zee Munir is a Senior Blue Ocean Strategist with a proven track record of creating blue oceans of uncontested growth in both consulting and executive roles. With formal recognition in the global best-sellers Blue Ocean Strategy, Blue Ocean Shift and Beyond Disruption, she has worked on a variety of high-profile blue ocean initiatives around the world, including Malaysia’s National Blue Ocean Strategy that led to the creation of 1.8 million jobs and a 50% increase in GDP for the country.

With a client list that reads who’s who in business, she has been a trusted advisor and trainer for organizations, big and small, that are eager to grow and willing to innovate. Clients include Fortune 100 and other prominent organizations like Intel, Pfizer, Coca Cola, Honeywell, HP, LG, Autodesk, Genentech, Medtronic, US Bank, Reckitt Benckiser, PayPal, Fujifilm and many others.

As Executive Director of the non-profit Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneurs Corp. she manages the largest pitch competition in the world for high school students with participation from 146 countries. Under her leadership the competition made it to the finalists for the prestigious ‘Thinkers 50 Ideas Into Practice Award 2024’ for stimulating business innovation in high schools. As Vice President of the Blue Ocean Global Network  she has managed the qualification process for blue ocean practitioners at a global scale and was involved in the development of blue ocean online learning and collaboration platforms.

As Global Vice President, she has driven global growth and business development for her family business, OneScreen Solutions, growing it to become a global smart devices manufacturer with footprint in 52 countries. She was involved in a successful covid-era pivot to develop and launch OneScreen GoSafe, an IoT powered temperature scanner, that won the Best Technology Product Award in 2021 by the North American Office Products Industry.

Earlier in her career, she worked as Manager eBusiness for Clary Business Machines and implemented successful growth initiatives adding 20 new product lines to their distribution portfolio that resulted in over 1200% revenue growth and recognition among San Diego’s 100 fastest growing private companies.

She holds a PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology, China. She co-authored ‘Key Concepts in Innovation’   and has taught undergrad and graduate level courses on Innovation and Strategy at Rochester Institute of Technology, and Alliant International University.

Having lived and worked in six continents around the world, she brings a fascinating multidisciplinary and multicultural perspective to her work. She is passionate about women leadership and student entrepreneurship and volunteers her free time to support young entrepreneurs develop and grow new businesses.
